These videos are from a jam session in 1989. We had rented the old Haines City Civic
Center so that we would have plenty of room. There is a lot of reverberation in the room
but that can't be helped. As a group we had not played together in years, but we had a
lot of fun and just jammed on simple songs.
These videos were made in the late 90's at the Admiral Inn at Cypress Gardens in
Winter Haven. The name of our band was The House Rockers and the members were
Bill Newman, John Rank, Gene Beale and Mike whose last name I can't recall.
Audio
One of the things that I enjoy most about playing guitar and music in general is
improvisation. The audio-files below are me playing lead guitar to professionally
produced audio tracks. After leaving the last band that I played with in August 2007 I
wanted a way to keep in practice and play with other musicians without having to
always find a group of people to jam with. The audio tracks at least make it possible to
play with a virtual band. While the tracks are professionally produced the addition of
my guitar parts are not. I just placed a computer mic in front of my amp and recorded
into Reaper software.
